Fall is the perfect time for a cozy photoshoot, and I had such a blast working with Austin, Gloria, and their adorable pups, Jameson and Zeus, on a recent session here in Northern California. The crisp autumn air and golden light made for a gorgeous backdrop, but what really made the photos special was the couple’s incredible chemistry and the playful energy from their dogs. As a photographer, it’s always exciting to capture a couple’s unique personality, and Austin and Gloria brought so much warmth, style, and fun to their shoot. It’s not every day you get to combine a bit of cowboy charm with two lovable dogs!

We started off the session with some relaxed shots in a field surrounded by the vibrant fall colors. Austin rocked a classic cowboy look with a denim jacket, boots, and a cowboy hat, while Gloria’s flowing red dress brought a touch of elegance to the rustic vibe. The two of them looked like they stepped right out of a Western romance, and their dogs, Jameson and Zeus, were right there with them. Jameson, the more energetic of the two, was full of excitement, while Zeus, the laid-back dog with a heart of gold, gave us plenty of moments to capture their natural bond. I love how pets bring such an authentic and spontaneous element to any photoshoot!

After a few fun shots with the pups, we took a little break to let the dogs enjoy some treats. It was the perfect way to keep them happy and well-behaved while Austin and Gloria took a few moments for themselves. I always encourage couples to take some solo photos together during their shoot, especially at the end when everyone’s relaxed and comfortable. These quiet moments gave Austin and Gloria a chance to connect with each other, just the two of them, amidst the beauty of the fall landscape. The connection between them was undeniable, and I was able to capture some of the most intimate, heartfelt shots of the day.

As a Northern California photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting in some stunning locations, but the real magic always comes from the people I’m photographing. Austin and Gloria’s personalities truly shone through in every frame.
