When it comes to choosing a location for your engagement session, you can rest assured that Hailey Maxfield Photography has the best locations ready for you.
Collaborating with my couples is so, so important to me. If you’re a photographer, it should be important to you, too. It’s often the first convo we have. Your engagement session is often where I’m meeting my clients for the first time, and by then, of course we’re besties! For this engagement session, my couple took into consideration the part of my engagement guide that says to think of locations that are special to you. Gavin and Jill knew that their faith and time on the lake are two things they cherish the most. Of course I made sure that we incorporated this into their engagement shoot.
Gavin and Jill are having a lakeside fall mountain wedding in the pines. Apart from their love for the lake, you’ll see that their photo shoot locations were perfect to match their wedding venue. Each of their engagement photo shoot locations had great foliage, trees and neutral tones that will reflect the fall even if they’re taken in the summer. Their outfits worked perfect too! I personally love when your engagement and wedding photos feel like they belong next to each other on your wall. This is also part of why I encourage folks to have their wedding photog also capture their engagement. The vibe, the colors, it all comes together when you see those final images and hang them in your home.
It’s absolutely so important that you feel like “you” throughout the entire wedding process. Your engagement session is a more casual place, but it’s also meant to celebrate and make you feel stunning. I usually recommend that my clients bring two outfits: one that feels more dressed up and one that feels more dressed down. The best part? They’ll feel like you no matter what.
