As a Northern California photographer, there’s something truly special about capturing the milestones of teens, especially when they’re graduating high school. For the Class of 2025, this time represents a culmination of hard work, dedication, and growth through trials and tribulations. It’s a moment that deserves to be celebrated, and what better way to commemorate it than with beautiful photos that document these significant moments in their lives?

Our day started off perfectly with a coffee run to Starbucks. It set a relaxed and fun tone for the session, allowing Kyle and his mom to enjoy some quality time together before diving into the excitement of the day. Kyle, with his vintage style, was particularly enthusiastic about dressing in a way that made him feel comfortable, confident, and classy. I believe that when graduates wear outfits that resonate with their personalities, it shines through in the photos, and Kyle did just that.

As we wandered through Downtown Chico, I was in awe of the stunning backdrops that the city offered. The brickwork, fun patterns, and vibrant colors created an ideal setting for Kyle’s senior portraits. The early fall morning light bathed the streets in a warm glow, making everything feel magical. We took our time exploring the area, allowing Kyle and his mom to relax and enjoy the experience. It was a peaceful, enjoyable outing, far removed from the hustle and bustle that often accompanies graduation season.

Capturing Kyle’s personality through my lens was such a joy. His enthusiasm for his vintage style brought a unique flair to the photos, and I could see how proud he was to express himself. It was heartwarming to hear both Kyle and his mom talking about scheduling family photos in the future. Knowing that they enjoyed our time together and valued my work meant the world to me. Kyle even mentioned that he couldn’t imagine another photographer capturing his essence as well as I did, which filled me with pride.

I can’t wait to hang out with the Jones family again soon, whether for family photos or more milestones down the line. Each session is a reminder of how important it is to celebrate these significant moments in life, especially as our teens transition into adulthood. Graduating high school is a major accomplishment, and I’m thrilled to have been part of Kyle’s journey, capturing memories that he and his family will cherish forever.
