A verdant tapestry unfurls in the heart of California, where a mountain meadow blossoms with vibrant shades of green and freshly blossomed wildflowers. If you’re pregnant and looking for the perfect, most ethereal mountain meadow for your maternity photoshoot, I will absolutely take you to this hidden gem just a couple hours from Sacramento.
One of my favorite things about being your photographer is watching y’all grow. I originally met V + M when I assisted at their wedding. They are the coolest, chillest people whose perfect days would consist of fishing in the mountains or soaking up sunshine and aloha spirit in Hawaii. So when they wanted to take me to one of their favorite spots here in NorCal, it was an immediate “Yes” from me!
Another funny story; I’m convinced at this point that I have a little bit of psychicness (not a word, but whatever). At their photoshoot last fall, I was convinced they were pregnant. But you can’t just go around asking people if they’re pregnant, so I ignored my gut instinct. Well, turns out if I had asked it wouldn’t matter because they didn’t know it yet, but they were pregnant! This has happened a few times, so I’m rolling with my new power, but trust that I won’t act on it. I’m already chubby so if someone asked if I was pregnant that miiiiiiiight be my thirteenth reason? Kidding.
At your maternity photoshoot (or at any photoshoot, really) I usually will suggest that you bring a couple outfits. Dressing for your new body can be difficult, so don’t feel like this is ever required of you! With these outfits, I suggest something fancier and then something more relaxed. I’ll usually have you save your faaaaavorite outfit for the latter part of your session during the super rich golden + blue hour. There’s more about this in my Welcome Guide, which you get when you book with me! Photogs, you can also buy that here. It’s a pretty badass template with all copy written for you.
