When your wedding had a donut bar, an ice cream cart + burros carrying cerveza to your guests, you know it was epic. Keep reading for more about this adorable boho western chic June wedding!
A while back, Alexys knew that Justin would be her man. And Justin? A lucky man; he knew Alexys was the one, too. And for their wedding, Justin + Alexys decided on forever on a warm, June day in Northern California. Each of them got ready with their bridal parties; the boys drank a couple cold ones and had some good times, while the ladies were primped and pampered all morning long (champagne in hand of course).
Their whole day reflected their style: country + bougie! They had every detail perfectly planned + executed, which made my job that much easier. I got to be creative + have so much fun with every moment of their day. From photographing the moment Alexys gave her dad his credit card back (haha!) to the moment that Justin + Alexys fed each other their wedding cake, it was just the most fun ever!
It was obvious from the jump that The Pozzi’s priorities were family, fun and food. With fans featuring their pup’s face to keep guests cool, no one was a victim to the sun. As their guests arrived, they awed at the venue’s vast options, greeted family and friends with open arms and grabbed a beverage before the ceremony began. Their officiant (a family friend) was first to the top of the aisle, followed closely by Justin. The sweetest thing was seeing Justin so excited to see his friends come down the aisle, but it was even sweeter to see Justin watch his bride. Although they had a first look (see below), it was still so special for him to see Alexys in her gown with her bouquet.
Alexys came down the aisle with her dad, and time stopped as guests stood Oo-ing and Aw-ing as they floated towards Justin. It’s always in this moment where some of the sweetest moments happen.
Shortly after their ceremony, we worked hard to keep family photos moving so that the bride and groom could enjoy their time with guests! I’ll always recommend keeping these combinations to no more than 10. Family photos at your wedding can get hot and stressful quick; always pick the priorities and let the rest of the family and friend photos be candid throughout the evening.
The Pozzi’s decided on an early June wedding at Oak Hollow Farms here in Northern California. Their venue is equipped with lots of shade, industrial fans, and bar with lots of storage for beverages + ice.
Alexys’ gown was from Sparkle Bridal in Sacramento, CA. Her wedding dress had a moment all its own when I hung it from the barn to pop it off the background.
